I have read over and over again in this forum that fireKD is a bogus special, but nobody ever says why. Could somebody tell me why?
States:
So far I have found that fullautosingle really sticks the states on nicely. I don't have access to sprayshot yet, but wonderwhich of the twospecials sticks its states (particularly dizzy) better.
Knockdown:
Is there any consensus as to which KD attack works the best? I've seen some people post who are partial to underhand from the bounty line andothers that like suppression from the carbineer side. Nobody seems to like fireKD.
fire KD is just not very good, no reason behind it. Try using fire kd and chargeshot and you see which you like better...you'll find chargeshot to be more reliable. Better than underhand in my opinion also. My favorite shot from BH is confusion shot, and I hear sprayshot does alot of damage but I wouldnt know. Fullauto is a great spcial because you land states reliably and do some nice damage also, as opposed to confusion shot, which lands states nicely also. Basically if a shot works for you, then use it. Suppression fire and KD firejust never work for me

FKD: Crappy. Doesn't land dizzy very well, but, most importantly, doesn't do it's KD very well either.
Underhand: Very good KD. Very reliable and fast to use. My preference.
Charge shot: Best KD, IMO. BUT. I feel it's a tad dangerous to use against Jedi and other high dmg meleers, since it, through the animation, forces you to physically charge forward, which of course, brings you closer to your enemy. In other word, closer to your death. It works very well in NPCs and PCs far away
Suppressionfire: Used to use it a lot. But I find it too slow to use for PvP combat, unless I'm really in a pinch, as I've noticed through extensive testing that it neglects to always inform you of the PD, both via actually seeing the other player fall as well as claiming it to not pass protection - when it actually does.

I have a +92 speed from tapes which indeed caps me out at 1 sec attacks even for cripple shot with a 4.0 sec laser carb.

Exactly....BH's are easy to Speed Cap with but Carbineers are NOT.....and this is the Carbineer Forum

The CU aims to fix that.....now only thing to do is wait and see how well SOE delivers.....based on the PR for the Expansion it appears we are getting closer to finding out....

I haven't used SprayShot on LIVE, just TC, but it seems the general opinion that it applies States better than any other Carbine Special.....but not specifically Dizzy so Confusion may be better for just that one State, but Blind and Stun should not be underestimated either

I also haven't used sprayshot on live yet, but on tc it seemed that confusionshot applied dizzy and stun better than sprayshot... but the added blind and the higher damage mod (6.0 vs. 4.5) make sprayshot far superior in my opinion, though.
