Ok, my friend and I have been debating this for a bit and I was wondering if someone has done any extensive testing to prove that melee mitigation sticks when you are holding aranged weapon. I think it does, since a hit a combatmedic/riflemen alot harder than a swordsman/rifleman.

Not sure how it is coded/bugged, but it seems like a skill (like any other primary defense) that works with any weapon in hand. They do not have specific melee mitigations for each prof like Block/Dodge/Counterattack so it should work all the time.
