I have used up all my SP for BE and Scout but would be interested in trying Carbineer except that I only have enough SP for 2 trees, which would you pick and why pls?
Thanks in advance!

i was thinking of 4040, xooo for the speed is obvious and ooxo for suppression shot 2, but ultermately, how effective are the specials against the higher level creatures pls?
also, there is a KD shot somewhere as well right?

Forget the supression stuff... i read that a long time ago it was godly, but it's nerved into oblivion. (I can't guarantee, am still working on that branch, but i have suppressoin fire from marksman and it's also worthless...)
The thing to definitely go for is the first branch, the speed is very helpful. I wouldn't replace it with any other branch, the other line can be discussed.
According to the FAQ the best choice then is 4400. It gives you a good deal of accuracy and cripple shot, which is quite helpful when you are speedcapped or close to it.
If you plan to fight unbuffed and have guns with good accuracy, the third branch might be interesting, i personally learned to like burst shot, good damage with limited HAM-costs. Still i feel that this branch in the long run gives you the least return for the invested skillpoints.
The fourth branch is the "gimmick" line, stun the enemy, knock him over, enjoy. I can't say how it works without having the second branch, but that's where i personally would invest in your situation. For PvE you can usually fight without the added accuracy of the second branch, in case of need you can compensate by having your gun built for accuracy or by one or another kind of food. Cripple shot might seem very mighty, but the long delay makes full auto single 2the superior choice unless you heavily invest in speed-skilltapes. (And even then you can't get over +65 with your current build, which is far from speedcapping and thus far from making Cripple shot really effective.)
Area-attacks might be a bit risky, but they sure are a lot of fun when they work out.
Though, i have to emphasize, i am a rather new carbineer and have not mastered yet, so my experience is limited, the veterans here might give other (and better) advice, this is just my personal point of view.

The FAQ has this detailed and at least 20 other questions you need answered that you haven't even thought of yet
Just be aware that dabbling in one combat prof without any other combat skills will be difficult to survive in today's game....especially Carbineer....

One thing that might help you out.....especially if you fight unbuffed. (Assuming you're 100% PvE) Find a Master WS (I'll help you out if you're on Naritus) and have him make you a carbine without a rifle stock. A carbine with a rifle stock will suck the HAM off an unbuffed player so fast your head will spin. If you do typically fight buffed, then don't worry about it...go and find the best carbine you can afford.
P.S. Rifle stocks also slow down the weapon unless you're fortunate enough to get ahold of the "Formfitted rifle stock" occasionally given as the reward from the Imp themepark. Those are the only stocks that actually speed up a weapon and I don't think they hurt HAM costs.

Speed for one, if ya don't have that, it will kill you. But as for the second....no idea
