Ok, been gone from the game for a couple a months and now everything has changed. I can deal with change, change it good. But can someone tell me why I am no longer "certified" to use any of the weapons in my inventory? I've trolled the forums and can't seem to locate anything telling me where/how to get my weapons certifications.

Weapon certificates mostly now depend on your combat level. Only a comparatively small selection is bound to specific skillboxes and professions. Take a look here for further information.

Thanks for the reply. Dumb question to follow: What the heck is "combat skill level"??

Combat skill level is your characters level related in terms of combat capability. It provides youwith a means of quicklyestimatingyour odds of survival againsta target as well as the xp you may get for killing it. In general,the lower the combat level of something in relation to you the less xp you will gain from it and the greater the combat level in relation to you the greater your chance for death. There is also a color coding system that reflects thisrelationship and it is explained in greaterdetail in the combat revamp documents.

And in case you're looking for the level, it's in your character data. (CTRL-C)
Also note that the level only depends on how many (and which) combat skills you have, it doesn't change according to which weapon you are holding. Additionally note that your health increases with your combat level, this also increases chances of survival.
