Thread: I need carbine help

I am a master BH / Master Pistoleer. I am wanting to pick up some carbine tree. If I have enought skill points for 2 full trees, which 2 should I get? I have been told to get 4/4/0/0 and also told to get 4/0/4/0. Which would be the better choice? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd choose neither of the suggested two.
The 4xxx "only" gives you carbine speed and the scatter shot and full auto area abilities. Both i use rarely and find to be of limited value.
First of all i'd advertise the x4xx line. It gives you a good deal of general ranged accuracyand some nice specials. The improved legshot might be redundant for you due to critical shot, but cripple shot is a very nice snare. The rapid fire currently seems to be of limited use.
Second i'd take xx4x, this gives you a bit of defences but more important, it offers charge shot and suppression fire. Suppression fire currently is broken but when fixed it should be quite helpful. Charge shot is currently supposed to be the most powerful ranged knockdown, so definitely worth it.

As an MBH you already have a better KD, Charge Shot is good, but you lose 5 m in range using it.

I have read dozens of other reports all stating the KD Chance is higher with Improved Charge Shot......so I would jump up and down screaming Underhand Shot is better.
As far as the 5m Charge, well most of the time you are kiting when using it and it goes in the direction you are moving, not towards the target all the time.

I have not seen any difference between the two other than the 'charge'.

Charge shot KD's way more often than underhand shot. For me atleast.
