Hi guys!
Need some advise here please. I'm a Master Carbineer, Master BHand Pistoleer xxx3. Which specials do you use when dueling or are ingaged in one-on-one combat against a melee opponent? And in which order do you use them?
And which is your favorite auto-attack special?
Thanks!

Knockdowns and snares are a good way to open a fight, anything that lets you keep your distance. I usually have Adv. Critical as auto-attack and manually hit Legshot while that is recharging.

When duelign melee i always open up with kd. then before they get to standign all the way up i use stopping shot so i can get some distance. meahwhile i cycle between adv crit, legshot, rapid fire and torso just so im continually doing damage to them. then when root fades i use snare and by that time is usually over or close to it

best thing for melee fighters is to keep them far away. hit lots of snares and kd, since u got xxx3 pistols drop in a few roots too. with the right gun and technique youll take em out before u even get any damage taken

I know I am about to be redundant but....everything everyone else said...lol....drop a KD and root or snare to start then go with torso and leg shots, things of that nature to do as much damage as possible before they even get back up, keep your distance and as said before if you rooted them it should be over before they can start moving again.

The best specials for melees I use are Full Auto Area and SprayShot while having several friendly melee fighters between me and my targets.

with my template:
Charge shot>adv critical>stopping shot>usually torso and legshot etc>crippling shot if still alive>rinse/repeat.
mob should never tough you if timed right and with a little kitting 50m is our friend

Against melee you always want to keep your distance so i would say a nice KD, cripple shot, maybe a root if you have stopping shot from pistoleer and to finish them off leg shot, adv critical shot (MBH)

to throw in some numbers
A KD target takes 20% more damage while KD.
According to TAfirehawk a target is KD for 5 seconds (check your combat log for this) giving one shot with increased damage thus to maximize your damage hit right after your KD your highest damage shot.
For this reason I have a /chargeShot;/legShot macro replacing my normal chargeShot in the toolbar.
You can apply a KD every 30 seconds to a target, keep track of that while you either root him or kite him while he is snared.
