The carbine knockdown (charge shot) is one that lots of people are ambivalent over. The animation it does (charging forward a step or two) means you can only fire it from standing, the knockdown time isn't as long as some other knockdowns, and it has the worst damage of all the knockdown moves. However, from accounts I've read, it seems to be much more effective when it comes to the chance to resist the knockdown, making for a more sure-fire move.



Most of us, however, are willing to forgive some shortcomings on charge shot in exchange for chargeshot2, which is the same but AE. Unfortunately, it's broken, and somebody goofed and made the pistoleer master skill disarmingshot2 AE ranged knockdown, an effect that has everybody scratching their heads (except the pistoleers, but they seem adept at overlooking errors in their favor as a group).

I use chargeshot when I need a good laugh, but otherwise it does less damage than when I just let my gun fire without styles.

Fire off two covering fire and a confusion shot..... er... any Carbineer shot do dizzy?!?!



well anyways do two covering fire + any dizzy move then get into point blank range. Target will have to get up to fight you at which they they'll knock themselves out with dizzy. Then just hit them with Crippling shot. Crippling shot with the KD damage bonus = 2000 Damage. Too bad its random pool

How good is the knockdown of the carbineer? Without the BH line. I am currently a high lvl swpredsman/medic/ CH, but am looking to drop sword for ranged. I was wondering if they knockdowns were very good without the BH line. I have medic to recharge my action points so I can use knockdown a little more then normal, but is the carbineer knockdown viable?
