Thread: carbine thoughts .... and welocme to pet wars
it seems to me the game is quickly becomeing a pet vrs pet game vrs a player vrs player game, in pve alone as a carbine user, useing a ranged weapon is becomeing next to impossible, I didnt plan on haveing to drag faction pets around everyplace I go to just roam the lands and hunt, but to be effective at all this and wearing armor is the few options I have that work.
Ham costs are unreasonable, but this has been beaten to death, of the 4 weapons I carry not one is less than 2446 24 or thereabouts, if engage over 2 targets at once, due to social aggro, its a pretty good bet I'll be capped due to my weapon's ham use if not outright dead before take them down
my Elite carbine .....well to be honest, it doesnt feel so elite, thats 3 trees above laser carbine that is the prefered weapon, the elite is more reliable damage at 91-154, but giveing up AR 2 that the laser grants, the RXD6 looks great when examine it and the 20m ideal range is better as most days mobs are in my face, but in all honesty, at 151-166 it performs less than the other 2 I carry, hence I find most days have a 40-380 laser carbine in my hand, with very erratic and unpredicitable damage
I spawn lvl 15 missions, as I've grown in skills, they have not scaled with my weapon skills, it would make sence to me that my skills and the difficulty should scale at about the same rate as the missions selected for me, but with most of my skills in carabineer being PC and stange type shots,there's not really many options to use in most situations
I quickly see this game becomeing more and more dependant on pets, and less dependant on melee damage, either ranged or up close, I didnt come to play a game where I must have supportto tackle trivial encounters, and if were still possible to keep things at range or at least slow thier movement, ranged damage would be a viable class to be.
I feel I'm being either forced to group, or drag a small army everywhere I go just to survive in PVE, perhaps in time issues will be looked at, the changes made in recent patches were like takeing root and snare from druids/rangers as I see it, I can understand makeing grouping more rewarding, but as it is, ranged damage with nothing to tank for you is a fast way to vist the cloneing terminal

and it seems about ever 5 or so you get new types of mission-spawns on basic planets. the advanced all seem to spawn for everyone, no matter how new or powerful.
