Thread: Why Should i Become a carbineer
why should i become a carbineer.....why not become a bh
give me some good reasons
Roll the dice and take your chances.
This game is effectively open beta.... what you choose today will not reflect what the class will be in 2 months time.
This comes from an ex-Swordsman, ex-Carbineer, ex-Squad Leader, ex-Bio Engineer.... dropping nerfed classes left right and centre.
By December the game will hopefully be stable. Until then... understand that you are playing open beta and you will get nerfed or loved with no warning or documentation.
i've been trying to come up with something that sticks out, some reason to be a pistoleer/carbineer/rifleman over any of the other professions. truly, only riflemen have anything distinctive about them, any reason to go that route. of course, assuming that your primary intention is crafting. the elite combat professions are perfect for those who want to master an elite crafting profession and still go and shoot stuff. the signature move of rifleman is the ability to target the unhealable mind pool. however, there are a lot of player driven suggestions as to ways that increasing the heal-rate of mind pool could be used without exploit, and according to holo's 'random pm responses' (or whatever the title is),
Mind is not supposed to be the determining factor in a combat. direct quote., thread here:

so, even that uniqueness may beremoved at a later date. quite frankly, i'm afraid that the 'vision' for the 'elite' combat professions is the same that some of the 'hybrid' profesions have of us: we're the gun-toting soldiers who get mowed down, and SHOULD get mowed down.
if you like carbines, i honestly suggest getting bounty carb4 and then go from there. even though i dropped bh to be a pure carbineer
