Both Scatter Shot 2 and Crippling Shot are nice skills that you can recieve with bonuses, however, it might be difficult to increase up those branches with full auto single. You may want to consider getting Burst Shot 1 first and then pursue a different branch, such as accuracy and get the most popular skill or the speed branch for Scatter 2.

Thanks for the advice!

Is Burstshot1 really that much better than Full auto single 2? SWG resource center list it as having both lower damage and speed. However, HAM cost is much better. But SWGcenter is maybe wrong?

It would be really good to have a complete list of all the special moves for carbines with dam modifier, ham cost, effects etc listed. Can anyone write such a guide? But it might require a developer to tell us which the exast modifiers are.

It really doesn't matter. All of the specials are gimped, so don't base your decision on getting special attacks. I still use FullAutoSingle as my main attack because cripple doesn't do much more damage and FullAuto has a chance to blind (it stuns and dizzysalso but stun is broken and the dizzy has a duration of 0).

hmm, then it might be wiser to level the trees that give you speed/accuracy.

After selecting only the (Novice Carbineer) box you should definately highlight that same box, locate the _Surrender_ button and press it. From there im not too sure, commando is retardedly uber now, most definately will be nerfed next, pistol users are always a safe bet since devs seem to love pistols even if pistoleers have fallen a bit out of favor.

I think most carbineers would agree at this point, but check around for advice. =P

Here's the HAM cost modifyers of some of the carbineer skills when I use them. I don't think I can get exact since strength, focus and quickness play a role but these modifyers should be close or similar. What happens is that you take the HAM of the weapon, x it by the multiplyer and then your str, quickness or focus will lower it upon that.

Full Auto Single 2

  • Health: x1.6

  • Action: x1.8

Burst Shot 2

  • Health: x1.6

  • Action: x1.0

Burst Shot 1

  • Health: x1.4

  • Action: x1.0

Scatter Shot 2

  • Health: x1.6

  • Action: x1.0

Crippling Shot

  • Action: x2.65

  • Mind:x.8

Full Auto Area 2

  • Health: x1.95 - 2

  • Action: x1.8

Charge Shot 2

  • Health: x.9 - 1.0

  • Action:x1.5

Charge Shot 1

  • Health: x.9 - 1.0

  • Action: x2.1 - 2.2

Leg Shot 3

  • Health: x.5

  • Action: x1.55

  • Mind: x1.2

Leg Shot 2

  • *same as Leg Shot 3*

And then I did one more for a BH Pistol Skill I have..I was curious.

Eye Shot

  • Health: x.45

  • Action: x1.0

  • Mind: x.5 - x.6

Again, these arn't exact by any means. These are the modifyers I saw when I used skills and they arn't exact, most are rounded down as well. Just thought I'd share this. Also, drinks such as Breath of Heaven can greatly reduce HAM costs for skills (+450 to str, quickness and focus). Just by drinking it, I reduced crippling shot on my carbine from -119 action to -60 action.
