I only have 27 skill points to work with in the Carbine tree after Novice Carbineer. I'll be participating in PvP mostly with this character from now on, what skill boxes should I take? I was thinking of something like 4-0-0-3, or 0-4-0-3.
I'm not sure if the accuracy is more important or the speed. I do not rely on my weapon to kill, just need it to keep people off me (knockdowns and dizzy type specials). Any help will be vastly appreciated, as I've read your boards and I'm slightly confused as to which specials actually work. Do one of the FullAuto attacks dizzy?

I am also a master CM who chose carbine, I wish i could go all the way to carbineer but my skill points prohibit me as do they you. I chose to go 0 3 0 3, that way you get charge shot 2 ( a nice KD ) and crippling shot with which you can do very heavy damage...hope this helps and i don't get flamed by the more experienced carbineers.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results -- sound familiar?

I hate to see you go, but I LOVE to watch you leave

I would probably go 0/3/1/2 which would add to 27 skill points (provided my math is correct) and that would give you Charge Shot, Burst Shot, and Cripple Shot which are arguably the best specials we have.

Full Auto Single 2 is supposed to have a Dizzy effect but I have never seen it happen myself.

So basically, you want a knockdown and state changes. Theoretically you want speed but careful choice of carbines will help here. You do really really need accuracy and as much as possible. In essence, you KD wont mean anything if you cannot hit. Further, if you browse the pistoleer forum they have established that that your chance to dodge (and I assume this holds for counterattack) is linked to the accuracy of the thing hitting you. If the person has high accuracy, you dodge rarely. If the person has low accuracy, you dodge all the time. Basically what they found is dodge is awesome in PvE and not so great in PvP since people have high accuracy. Following this, you need high accuracy to counter their dodging!

Based on this, I would suggest 0403 (26 points). This gives you tons of accuracy, access to crippleshot (becareful using w/o a very fast carbine), legshot3 (maybe it will be fixed), chargeshot1 (KD) and fullautoarea2 (Cone special). If you can use4 points elsewhere, you might consider 0402 (23) as cone specials can be VERY dangerous on PvP.

With the current state of carbine skills, you will NOT get any special applying a durable dizzy effect ( it will dispell itself instantly)

Truthfully, for carbine dabbling the best combination is 4402 but sine cyou dont have the ppoint for that Id go 4002. Charge shot 1 is the blunt of the carbine offensive so its imperative that you always get it. Speed is very important so that why I say pick up the whole assault tactics line. Scatter shot 2 would handle all of your damage needs better than crippling shot since you dont have BH. Good luck with carbineer=)

Actually, after some careful thinking, I'm mastering Doctor, and Carbineer. Thanks for the advice, but I really like the class so I can't help myself.
