Hiya,

Forgive me if my question seems a little newbish, but I quit the game for quite a while and am just starting back. My delima is basically that I love playing the healer for a group, but I want to try to avoid sacrificing my ability to solo when necesary.

With that said - By your best guesstimate, what would be the toughest thing I could solo as a buffed up Master Doc/Master Carbineer? I realize my damage output should be very respectable, but as this game is geared toward pets when it comes to damage mitigation, I'm afraid that I would be pretty limited in my solo ability . I would appreciate any advice that you guys could give me. and again, sorry for the newbness.... but I'm still somewhat in the dark

Popular choice to go with Master Doc is Teras Kasi Master. Should have enough left to go up pistols and hit lowend-midrange smuggler/pistoleer with the points left over.

Master Carbineer should work well though, carbines aren't bad, just use alot of ham for specials. As a Mastor Doc though you can buff yourself, and then use food/spice on top of it...pretty potent combo.

you could take almost anything truthfully....none of the superpowers like a krayt or a nightsister spellweaver but you could easily take a rancor and a kimo and everything in between

I have a 37-253dmg 3.8spd Laser Carbine. Don't think I ever had it sliced as far as I can remember. Any advice on the arsenal I should start looking into? And if it helps, I don't have to work up the marksman carbine line. I already did that back in my bounty hunter days.

Thanks again

As a master carbineer/master doctor I have done all the dantoine jedi temple quests, and all the marauder quests on Endor alone, without pets, no **edit** nor factional.

The buff was even other by the end but they are not necessary if you like bleed/kitt and manage your armor.

I never use pets ;-) because it's too easy with them and I'm not a kid :-)

Yeah, I'm making my way to master doc myself at the moment. Not only does buffing up your HAM, but it brings your secondaries to a level such that you can wear a full suit of composite and have it sliced for resists instead of encumbrance (make sure to get your mind buffed or take muon gold). Not only will you be able to deal out massive damage, but you'll be able to take it too.

Master doc doesnt need pets the buffs serve the same function. My BH toon doenst use pets cause there is no need with the KDs Dizzy and multitude of bleads but my Weaponsmith sure does use them they cover up the underlying weakness of spending that many points in somehting that doenst help in combat.

i doubt you could solo a kimo w/o pets, but anything below that is fair game. things with high AR and high resists are a no-no, because they usually hit in the 1-2k range and are tough as hell to kill. i can solo a kimo with my 2 graul maulers, and prolly a krayt (haven't tried yet) but without a tank you go down fast no matter how good your buffs are. even spamming chargeshot, you get killed

Bleeding don't care the AR or resist...

When I make them bleed for 500, the REALLY bleed for 500 actions each time the bleed occurs.

I kill mobs with more than 12 k HAM tis way. Never tried Krayts because of too much KS and no need to go there.

I use only Elite and DX6 when energy resist.

I don't like laser and I don't want to be your clone too :-)
