Thread: Im a master commando/master carbineer, should I drop Commando and go BH carb?

If you want to rock the carbine, yes. You'd be giving up flamecone2 for fire knockdown, so the pyro in you will still be satisfied

until i gave in to my love for all things medic, i was a BH Carbine 4, 0 3 4 0 Carbineer, 0 0 4 4 Medic...that template is disgusting.


using a damage sliced base tissue Krayt Laser Carbine, i could run around by myself, wearing no armor, with no pets, and do juuuuuust fine on Dantooine. Mokk, Kunga, Fierce Piket Protector, Seething Bol, etc...*no problem*.


i had the med crafting so that i could supply myself with wound and stimpacks, and enough med use to be able to use my own stimpack c's...


could throw down a camp, heal my physical wounds myself, and keep on trucking when needs be..



additionally, suppressionfire2 is great, and it's even better with confusionshot. i got to where i was using those two in conjunction more than i was using /knockdownfire...since the HAM cost is so low on Confusionshot (i was burning about 84 for that per shot instead of the cost of fire kd, which was about double that), i could toss that out twice, hit supp2 twice (to make sure each stuck), then go nuts with /burstshot1. i used crippling shot on occasion, but it wasn't too big a deal.../burstshot1 does awesome damage (especially to a kd'd target!), and costs less ham than crippling shot. with my carbine, on a kd'd target (most of the time, they weren't getting up before i pounded them to death), i could hit burstshot1 around 2800 or so top end, and would average about 2300-2400 dmg per shot...with cripple, i'd often hit over 3k.


then i'd hit myself with a stimpack, wave at the corpse (or harvest), and take off.



if you're going to go carbineer/BH Carbine, you are going to either have to play buffed all the time or do what i did and drop a little carbineer (i'd suggest the speed line) for some medic to control ham costs...


btw...that is a crazy PvP template, too...*grin*...as much as people hate /knockdownfire, i've found other ways to torture them.../actionshot2 /suppressionfire2 /confusionshot /actionshot1 /peace /wave /cripplingshot


sure, it's not as fast as just /knockdownfire and pounding away with cripple or bs1, but...it sure is a kick in the pants.



(as you can see from how i went off, i had a blast with that...most fun template i'd done up to that point, and if i didn't love medic so much, i'd never have dropped it--BH missions are easy as pie with that, too)

Thx, I got 900k exp of carb and 180k combat exp so now all I have to do is go through scout. Does it take long to get through scout?


Master Carbineer/Master Commando, BH 3 is in the horizon.
