Thread: Ok honestly, how long would it take to actually fix these?

Chargeshot2: maybe an hour or two


The spelling of carbineer in the titles: find and replace - maybe 45 seconds


Come on already! 6 months and counting is just stupid. I can live without the dizzy on the nonBH carbine specials. Just bloody fix chargeshot2 and the spelling errors.

1) Get a change document - 4 hours


2) Update the the Configuration Manager - 2 hours


3 ) Check out the code - 15 minutes


4) Change the code - 5 minutes


5) Test the code - 1 hour


6) Schedule a peer review - 3 days


7) Peer review - 1 hour


8) Check in code - 15 minuts


9) Migrage code to test - 6 hours


10) QA test - 4 hours


11) Migrate code to TC - 6 hours


12) Test on TC - 1 week


13) Migrate to Production - 6 hours


14) Production down - 12 hours.



Actual time to fix spelling errors - 3 weeks. 45 secods /lol obviously not a programmer.

I am a programmer. Dam good one too. If you have to go through that much to change a spelling error, your company has serious problems. But then again it is SOE. Only thing more inefficient is the US government.
