The target can still attack while postured down if he has a ranged attack. Melee cannot attack from kneeling or prone.

NPC's cannot attack in kneeling or prone with melee, creature mobs can though. If said creature is within melee range, you will still be hit by it while it's kneeling

The target has to manually stand or attempt to run in order to get back up. These posture downs are really effective if you have a dizzy attack. Targets have a chance to fall down if they change posture while dizzy.

Only affects NPC's or PC's. Does not affect creature mobs, dizzy does not work on them

Posture changes are also good for trying to kite or widen distance between a melee person trying to rush you.

I'm confused as to what Posture Down does....well except actually make the target go through the animation.

Can the target still attack if postured down? Does it stick and they have to stand again manually or does it wear off and they go back to the original stance PvP?

I don't PvP much but I see in PvE alot of this when using ActionShot1, but really don't get the benefit.
