im a carbineer and sawthat it says im not certified to use nym's carbine. i havent noticed any decrease in damage or anything when using it. so is the cert on it broken or a typo or something?

Unless it tells you that you aren't certified, you are certified. I've used it just fine and so have some of my friends with absolutely no carbine skills. The Devs must've just forgotten to make the cert show up under everyone's certifications

I just think there is no actual cert for it in the game's coding yet. i.e. nothing to check it against. So it defaults to certified for anyone and everyone. Riflemen have a quest/rifle reward too, and they have the same issue with theirs.

Whoa, what quest is that? Either I'm not thinking too clearly at the moment or I haven't heard a word about this Rifleman quest. What is it? Please share

Yeah where is this quest at and are the stats good on the carbine?

Nym Carbine works for anybody.

That's part of the problem... it works for ANYBODY. You can be a novice marksman and use a nym carbine with no damage modifiers... it'll work the same for a novice marksman as a novice carbineer.

Was nice of them to give us a special weapon... would be nice if we were the only ones that could use it though.

sure it works for everyone jsut like the RB but without skills for that weapon its still junk just look at the spd on it. Its that way for a reason i think to worthless to anyone without some spd mods for it its the same way with the RB

Um yeah really. It's part of the Krayt skull/Darklighter quest. One of the rewards is for the King Tuskan rifle. I can use it eventhough I'm not certified for it, but neither areriflemen. Funny how I knew this ain't it? And I didn't even used to be a master rifleman.

humf i did that quest and dint get it i got the skull tho the way i went about it tho seemed weird i had to go to naboo then to cornet then back to naboo then finly i talked to darkliter and he says thx and hands me the skull im lik thx for what all i did is kill corsec dueds and help the slug not you

i gess i did it wrong ?

is there some way to redo the quest ?
