I used to be able to pvp pre-cu as a normal toon, I do pretty well on my jedi post-cu, but still, even now, I haven't gotten used to the CU.
I'm MBH/Mcarbineer/cm 0004. Whenever I fight, I had a 85 SAC carbine, and my action would drain relatively fast. And then my mind would drain also, and I don't know how.
I don't really know what to ask, tips or something, but I have trouble taking anything above 200k. MY mind just goes poof (I used breath of heaven, crispic, canape, and booster blue) and I can't keep the heals up because of armor break.
Oh my help me.

use the snares you got to keep the mob too slow to get to you. If you have to till you get your timing down charge strate into the mob. When you get to 20m wile running hit your Cripple shot then a leg shot then Paralise..Electrolite Drane. Then que up your Kd wile backing away from the mob. When the chargeshot fires que your legshot then scattershot. Now reapply crippleshot check your action maby drop a heal in. If your action is low put Ranged shot on auto fire and just use that. Once you see your Crippleshot stat ware off....You have a couple seconds longer and your leg shot is ready. If you want let the mob charge within 9m and put a thyroid rupture on them to slow their attack speed. Once it hits que your kd and back off. Then a legshot scattershot crippleshot. Your action might be low again...
Tons of things work but this is prety effective and safe. Its not just button mashing :0)

Well a few simple things you can do....
1) Get a low sac carb with good damage....mine is 85 sac.
2) I put a sac reducing pup on it....takes me down to 71.
3) I use blob candy.....Pixie....and doc action buffs.
4) Also use ranged shot as auto shot....throw a few in there between your big specials.
5) YOu do all these and you can shoot for days.

I have a 1.39 modified dps, 467-1040, 540 mod dps, 98 SAC elite carbine, 68 SAC with an action pup, and my question is...
This weapon is unsliced, so I want to get it sliced ASAP, and I'm not exactly sure what I should slice. The SAC seems fine, I think the carbine is already near cap, so I was thinking of getting it all sliced towards speed, any insight?

It's biggest prob would definitly be the SAC. The PUs should keep it under control I figure, but the damage cap is 1063 if I remember correctly. For your best DPA I'd say see about capping the damage with a slice. Especially if you fire off a lot of specials, the last thing you'd probably want is to spend more action faster on shots that wont do as much damage...not sure what those with more experience making these calls than me would say, but thats my take on it.

Cap damage first, then work on SAC...probably already at/ nearsoft cap for speed at 1.39.

I'd not bother slicing it and aim to get a lower SAC elite. If you MUST slice it then you might as well get the damage cap, speed won't be that noticable since you've hit the major point of diminishing returns (1.4). So that leaves you with criticals, which are broken

SAC is rather high, but you can't slice for SAC anyway, so might as well go damage.

Go for damage as far as possible, save the rest. Don't invest into speed, won't do anything for you here.
Rather wait till the chance for critical attack is fixed, then go for as much as possible in that.
(On the average, the ciritcal chance should help you more than a damage slice, unfortunately at the moment it's bugged...
