Thread: Elite Weapons
I think that the "elite" weapons should have definition and actually be "elite". I would like if the stats were as follows
Elite Carbine
200-250 dmg 3.0 spd
AP 2
Energy Dmg
H 30
A 50
M 10
DX2 Pistol
100-150 2.0 spd
AP 1
Acid Dmg
H 20
A 20
M 20
T21 Rifle
300-400 dmg 7.0 spd
AP 3
Energy Dmg
H 20
A 40
M 50
I would like something like this, maybe I'm stupid. It's late, not my fault.
All they need to do is remove specific resource requirements for those guns listed. This would allow weaponsmiths much more flexibilty and freedom is making the gun.
Right now each of those guns requires a specificly named resource, meaning they can only use that one type of resource. The odds of that resource spawning with good qualities is pretty low, while if for example it required "aluminum" instead of "xxx aluminum" the weaponsmiths would have a wider range of resources to choose from, and a greatly probability that one would be good quality.
They already did this to commando/bounty hunter weapons(the LCC) and they should go ahead and do it to the rest of the guns.
I've come to the conclusion that petitions do nothing. Ever taken a look at the discussion board? Half of the posts are petitions, and while a lot are credible and worthwhile, they don't seem to acheive anything. Carbineers had a 22 page petition, last I checked, no dev comment either.
Just my two cents.
I kind of like the specific metal requirements....it insures that not everyone has a superweapon. They still need to make the elite a little more worthwhile though.

Damage wise, yes, sometimes. Rate of Fire wise, no. Energy per shot wise, split money.
