Yup, alt between legshot/rapid unless they have cyber arms then you use legshot/scattershot

OK basically you want damage per SAC. Even with a 51 sac carbine like me, you still have to be careful. For general fighting where I know it'll take more than a few seconds I use Legshot/Rangeshot. Sure you'll so less damage than Legshot/Rapid fire and use more SAC than Rangedshot/Placed shot, but its the absolute highest Damage:SAC ratio possible, probably across all professions. Usually that combo with a low sac carbine will keep your action pretty much topped off with the proper buffs, it'll be a matter of minutes before you run low.

Now there's some occasions where you want to do pure DPS for a short peroid of time and thats when you do Legshot/Rapid fire. But 95% of the time I'd rather save my action for KD recovery, snares, heals and FAA.

While in big group PvP I'll use fullautoarea but then alternate it with rangedshot on whatever our main target is. I know your tempted to alternate it with supressionfire but I rarely find that special that useful for what we're doing, I'd much rather be able to use my action on dealing raw area damage.

As Ben has put so well, it all depends on your play style

Every single Carbineer Special has its place.....some places I don't go much and would like to see changed, but then again that is my personal play style
