Why do the carbines that require master carbine or another elite tree certification all seem to have lower stats than carbines that anyone can use?
It doesn't make much sense to me, but perhaps I'm missing something.
The best example I can give is that my elite carbine requires no certification and is the best energy carbine I've been able to find in terms of DPS. The master carbineer carbines are not even close in terms of stats.
For kinetic damage, the BH carbines IV dart carbine also seems to have inferior stats to a Nym's Slug Thrower, which I think is uncerted. This could be due to crafting/materials issues since it is so new, but I know that's not the case for the pure carbineer weapons, as they were all in game pre-CU.
I believe there may be a similar situation with pistols as well.
The thing that bothers me is that it seems like most carbines willend up being not used, and everyone will be using one or two models. I thought the CU was going to bring more diversity and that most if not allcarbines would be viable choices in the hands of masters.

Unless you are comparing equally crafted NEW Carbines the comparison isn't fair. Mainly because most people had a better Elite than E11 pre-CU so the converted stats are thus better on the Elite.
I have an order for 9 new Carbines being made right now, so I will post the stats and what tissues/scopes/stocks were used to help us all out here ![]()
IF it turns out there are issues with equal CL weapons not being reasonably close in stats, then I will most certainly take this to the Devs for fixing.
