I have to admit at first I did not like the cu, I was a pre CU BH2444 Master Carbs. As I have played and learned the new system, I am starting to like it more and more. It does still have its flawsbut lets not get into that.
I am nowa MBh / MCarbs /Pistileer 2204.
In the last 3 days I have soloed upwards of 100 lvl 79-82 fambas taken from mission terms in Moenia, Naboo.
The key to great soloing is learn your warmup and cooldown timers. Once you learnthe timing of your specials, build macros to triggerthem at the propper times using the pause function betweeneach. Make sure to set placed or ranged shot to auto-attack, it will fill the gaps between macros. You should alsoorder your specials for max effect, then you will solo all day long with little effort.
The days of spam attacks are over, and in the heat of combat who wants to be staring at the toolbar, looking for the next special to hit.
Also a side benifit, once I started to use macros, I notice a great reduction in action cost. I think this may be due to action being deducted even if the special did not fire.(not sure)
I also made a macro that spams all 4 of the state recoveries I have. that way if i get hit with a state I dont have to recognize and select the proper icon, I just hit one macro and it fixes whatever is wrong.
I have used this formula with my E11Mk2 1050mx dmg and a rather weak High Cap scatter pistol and it is effective for both. I have also shared this with my other guild members and it seems to be working for them, using a multitude of different weapons.
Hope this helps my fellow Carbineers

You should try using Aimed Shot as the default attack, it does more damage.....not sure if it would drain your Action too fast but something to look at......I just made the switch last night and have yet to give it a good try yet.

I will give aimed shot a try, Thanks for the heads up.
I am still trying to work the bugs out of my macros.
Hopefully more people will start to give the new system a chance, it is better than the old in many ways, it has its flaws but is not "unplayable" or "ruined"like so many claim.

I switch between aimed shot, leg shot, critical shot, and rapid fire in combat =)

I've also had no problems soloing. I usually just snare a mob, walk back and shoot tons of dmg into it.. if snare breaks I imediately KD them, by the time they will be dead or my snare will land again so I can shoot more. I rarely get hit unless I get multiple mobs at once or if KD causes the mob to warp to me (which if frequently does)..

Same ehre soloings not a problem. I'm a MBH, MC, Rifles, 4/0/0/4 and I find it a great combo. I normally switch between Advanced Critical Shot, Torso Shot, Eye Shot (or whatever its called) and throw a gun butt in there somwhere lol.

I can solo too and I am not even a Master Carbineer. The thing is... why would I want to?
In the time it takes me to get 50K XP solo, I can get 500K XP in a group. Hmmm... 50K vs 500K... which should I choose...
The mission payouts now go to everyone in the group too. So I can make lvl 80 cash at lvl 42 while getting massive XP per kill. I have not found any downside to the group hunts. It does help that I know a great bunch of folks who are alot of fun to hunt with.
The solo aspect of SWG is a thing of the past for me. I can't say that I will miss it.
