I was using Crit as well, but it drains my action way to fast. Changed it to the basic ranged attack and then use the specials sprinkled in to suit the combat need. As for what critical does...you might have better luck int he BH forums since it is a BH skill. I haven't even checked out what it does yet.

You basically need to use the highest damaging special you can without draining your Action taking ona solo, near equal CL target.....for me I go with Aimed or Placed Shot. I try to fire Imp Leg Shot about every other attack with my default and that works on things up to 1-2 levels above me.

You should alternate your attacks. I go back and forth between Leg Shot and Critical Shot as a MBH/MCarbs. The way cooldown timers work, other specials you have are available to use before the special you just commanded is. So if you fire a Leg Shot, you'll be able to Critical Shot before you can Leg Shot again. By alternating between them (they have identical damage multipliers) you'll increase your DPS. Of course, you'll also drain action faster...

I can't even begin to do something like that with the Action Costs being so high. I can handle Imp Leg Shot and Placed Shot spammed together and even some Imp Leg Shots back to back, but slamming such high specials together is not the intention of the CU and don't expect it to last if it is unbalancing.

Being MBH/MCarb I use Underhand Shot as my default. A Knockdown is always a good auto return shot, if you're not sure of your next shot the knockdown buys you time. I also find that it doesn't drain my action too bad. If your just going MCarb though I guess you could go Charge Shot. I however don't care for the whole charging forward thing and I'm not sure of it's action cost. I have noticed however it has the same damage as underhand.

Just wondering what special would be best to set has my auto-attack. I have been using Critical Shot but was wondering if other shots are better. BTW what does "Critical" do exactly?

I was using Advanced Rapid as my default, but as soon as I got into the "swing" so to say, with PvE grinding, I had to drop it back to ranged shot. You start throwing in Advanced Crit, and Torso, and some KD/State Shots, that green bar gets thin real fast.

It does have a crazy high action drain juggling those two. I only use that combo when max firepower needs to be laid down in such a fast pace that I am eccentially sacraficing my action for the targets health. Its a fast way to be left in serious trouble if not done as a finish to combat. I don't see it as unballanced as we shoud have the ability to throw our all into somthing as a "Last Ditch". Sound familiar?
