As a rifleman/marksman before the combat upgrade I really enjoyed an important part about being a marksman and rifleman, which was setting up the shot. I think that the old system of getting in the perfect range and setting up the perfect posture was very enjoyable and reward to game play. What good is a carbine, pistol or rifle if range means nothing. Rifles do way more damage so why not everyone who likes blaster be a rifleman? You will maximize your damage weather you want to fight at long range, medium, or short range, and if you want to stand it doesn't matter. I really do think that teh range considerations and postures added a lot to the game and that the development team really should think about brining it back.

Well the CU just put in the basics and so far it looks like the profs need more distinction but the Devs have stated they will be adding things as we go.....lets hope it doesn't take another 1.5 years to do it

not sure about range, but postrure does matter for your accuracy/defences, it just doesn't show

i have to say i was master rifleman back last year, i spent most my time standing up not prone, as i rarly missed and it wasnt worth the effort either.
but i noticed that while running there no lose to accuracy from what i can tell has there no skill mod for accuracy while moving so it doesnt matter if your moving or not now.
