Hey guys, I'm new to the game and a new carbineer. I'm just curious what you guys would suggest on my hotbar, granted I don't have much. My main concern is do you still use ranged shot as your auto attack and spam the others? I think I'm finding that placed shot or rapid fire make better auto's for solo'ing combined with spam'ing leg shot. Any advice?

Also what trees shouldI be concerned about going up first? Any other advice for this noob is most welcomed! Thanks

use ranged shot for the default attack. no warm-up and no SAC. and it hits for decent damage, really.

I use Aimed Shot myself.....feel free to check out the Damage Mods listed in the STICKY posts

Hmm, i somehow fail to understand why. For me, ranged shot and leg shot make sense.

The FAQ lists this info (abreviated to the three shots in question):

Ranged shot 3 134 1.0 44.7

Leg shot 22 253 1.9 11.5

Aimed shot 22 160 1.2 7.3

According to this, leg shot gives you an increase of +90% damage at an increase of 730% action cost. (So, action costs are going up steeply, but if you have the action to spare, this increase in damage is sure worth it...) Aimed shot apparently has the same increase in action cost, according to this list, but the damage increase is only 20%.

So i see no reason to actually use it. [Unless the numbers are faulty...]

Well this is unbuffed.....when I am buffed (which is most of the time) I do use Leg Shot but it depends on what/how I am fighting really. There are times when I like to do less damage to reduce the Hate and other times when I am just traveling around that I want Aimed Shot as the default.

I guess I haven't noticed a high Action cost on Aimed Shot but I rarely run out of Action anyways, even with Leg Shot, so DPS is my main focus when picking Specials to use.
