Thread: Automatic weapon is required for specials?

Does anyone know how to tell if your weapon is an automatic? Or have a list of weapons that are?

To set a special ability as your auto-attack do Ctrl-Left Click on the icon. It will have a check mark on the icon if it's set.


Any weapon can be setup with an auto-attack.

Actually I think the guy asked about automatic - ie repeat fire actions. There was something in pre-CU docs I think that talked about having some action that for automatic weapons.

arent all carbines "automatics" aka if you want to do fullauto area or supression fire you need a carbine and nothing more?

yeah but the specials seem to work with other ranged weapons. I guess the question was do they work with all ranged weapons?

Currently any ranged weapon can be used with any ranged special. The description of some specials hint that there would be some limitation, but nobody knows if they were dropped during development or if they just are not implemented yet...

Maybe they don't work with flame throwers?
