Seeing as how pistols and rifles get up into the 350dps range, I would imagine the same would hold with carbs. Then again, DPS doesn't mean that much.

As the DPS previous poster said, DPS isnt much use as an absolute indicator.

There is also different types of DPS. Being DPS is a combination of Speed and Damage, if the DPS is comming from the Speed, the carbine is going to be pretty useless regardless how low the SAC is.

For instance, my carbine Base DPS is 327. Thats comming with damage of 456-1040. The SAC is 91 so I cant sustain the high damage action from M.BH/M.Carbs for to long. So Ive put an action PuP which bought the SAC down to 60 but I STILL cant sustain spamming that with drink/pixie/buff!!!!!

Ive made 338DPS carbines (pre-pup) and I can make them relatively easy. Get DPS real cheap from speed. Another weaponsmith asked me what its the strongest pistol DPS wise I can make using just base materials. I told him it is a useless question. He still wanted an answer and I made a 315 DPS pistols with normal materials (ie no krayt) using all post-CU components. But the weapon was useless.

For refence my carbine with a damage PuP of 34% (slowdown of 10%) gives me damage of 610-1194 with a DPS of 356. With a PuP of 22% (slowdown of 1.4%) DPS goes up to 367. Ive not made any speed PuP but I suspect a speed PuP would convert my carbine to around 380 DPS - but would be a completely useless carbine.

This is on a sliced/dmg pupd/adk'd proton carbine with a moded speed of 1.5. I deal high dmg quickly (max dmg is 1000) and havent come across a higher base DPS carbine so I wanted to know if there was anything out there with more potential. Reason being I would like the best carbine available for Jedi hunting. I have MBH cert and Mcarbineer Cert. Edit: forgot to add SAC of 85
