I'm 0/2/2/1 in carbine right now going for Master Carbineer. I've also been reading these boards for over 2 weeks, so I have a feel for our pain as Carbineers

This may have been mentioned before, so apologies if you already know this. For those who don't, make friends with your local Chef now!

Eat food to combat that nasty HAM cost!

Yes thats right. Eating food can cut down on the ridiculous HAM costs we suffer. As a guide:

* Ryshcate buffs 100+ strength, quickness and focus for 400s+ (6.7 minutes)

* Tatooine Suburns buffs 1500+ strength, staminaand debuffs focus by -100 for 420s+ (7 minutes)

* Breath of Heaven buffs 175+ strength, quickness and focus for 500s+ (8.3 minutes)

* Vegeparsine buffs 120+ constitution, stamina, willpower for 240s+ (for regens) (4 minutes)

Remember you canmix and matchfood and drink for your own playstyle. Also you can eat from 1-3 times, so the effects are MULTIPLIED. YMMV

Yes, you could get longer lasting buffs from a Doctor, but my play times and styles usually find me solo and way out of the nearest med center.

Unfortunately all food items are bugged right now and you are not able to eat/drink stacks of items. I have no idea why or when the fix is coming.

ya im going to go doctor so i can buff my str and quickness on my own, having 1500str and quickness is crazy cause you just keep firing specials and like after 10 you barely have a scratch on ya

negative... they are not bugged. You can eat them; hyowever, there is a bug, but there's also a workaround. Here's the bug. If you die or log out having eaten off of the stack it becomes locked up.

Here's the workaround. Go to a structure that you have the admin rights to. Drop the item on the floor, target it and type /eat. If you can eat, you will eat one off the stack, if you are full you get the 'you're going to burst' msg. If either of these happen, you have unlocked the stack.

If you don't have admin rights to a house or hall, ask your buddies to give you temp admin rights or trade them the stack and ask them to do it.

Does that work around work for crates? I've got a crate that is locked up as well. Is there a /command to pull an item out of the crate?

I know about that workaround but that means you need to work around everytime you log off.

While I agree you can use them, its they are not convient anymore.

Clearly they are bugged and I hope they are fixed soon!

Somehow I knew as soon as I saw the title you were going to suggest buffs. There's one major problem with that: Food buffs only last a few minutes (basically one or two fights) and you can only take 2-4 of them before you're full and then you have to wait HOURS to be able to take buffs again. Doctors are nigh impossible to find so their actually decent buffs are out of the question for almost anyone who isn't a doctor themselves. Problem is that Combat Medics are much more popular, and so people are going with CM much more than they are doctor (by about 10-to-1, at least on Scylla)
