wats the best carbine in the game, aside from the elite carbine

This thread has a good supply of info, there really isn't any one BEST carbine, it kinda depends on how you're using it and what you're using it one. Oh and the Elite is generally worse than the 3rd and 4th tier marksman weapons.

i love laser carbines, today i did 2500 damage with mine using burst shot (i think i was using a powerup though, i have done 2024 without powerups tho) and its 2.9 speed (i think..i forget now..)

but ya its a nice gun and i have had good experiences in the past with lasers.

LOL, you say that as if the Elite is the best one. I'd certainly rank it no higher than fourth.

The most generally useful would probably be the laser carbine, followed by the EE3 (non-energy damage and slightly cheaper HAM) and then the DXR6 (acid damage and also AP light).

depends on how good the weoponsmith that makes the elite for you. the one I got made is pretty decent and rivals any laser carbine I"ve seen, 145-225 dmg and 2.9 speed. Mine also ranks bout the same as the EE3 and DXR6. It's all bout the resources that it's made from, and oh yes, thats pre-sliced

DH17 Snubnose (Short Carbine) is generally better than the EE3s in my server. Same Max damage at 166, same To Hit range modifiers, lower Min damage by like 4, lower HAM costs, and faster speed.

Heya Tale, curious where you got that Elite from, havent seen any that good around Tarq myself. Also was it made with straight up normal materials or is that using Krayt tissues, stocks or other add-ons, enhancments,

you could slice it down to 2 speed and have a nice gun! how are the HAM costs?

haha elite SUCKS. the best one iv seen is a laser. its awesome. i would tell ya stats unsliced but im stupid and dont know them.

elites are ONLY good if you get a badass slice. other than that they are pityful.

HAM costs on the elite I got is 24/45/23, still drains the HAM like mad as with all the other carbines. I had that carbine specially made a few weeks ago with some of the ebst resources I've had been saving up since the release. Should've gotten another one made but oh well. So like I said, if you want the best carbine, it's all about the resources....

Well, I really enjoy my laser carbine. Of course, it's slow, but I've got a fix for that--found me a carbine speed -1 skill enhancer the other day. Now, if the Devs would just fix them things....

yep, an elite isn't better than a cdef atm >_<

i prefer my laser:

2.8 aspd

56-290 damage

20/36/24 HAM

and with an armor piercing of 2 i'm pretty happy also i do roughly 1700-2600 damage on average with crippiling shot.

BUT.....

i also have my DH-17 Snubby

2.0 aspd

76-207 damage

and 18/26/22 hams

no armor piercing, i use this one ONLY for mobs that i need to hurt FAST, and for a bit more consistency. i can do about 1300-1400 damage with crippiling shot on this weapon.

note: both of these have been sliced
