Thread: Nym's Launcher (a low level carbine)?

I just met this guy in game who wanted to duel me with a "Nym's Launcher". He told me it was a low level carbine. I am stilla relative noob, but I was pretty sure that there was no such thing. I got the feeling that he just wanted to duel someone who had no chance of winning. But, I just wanted to make sure that this carbine really didn't exist. I did a search for it on the forum, and all I found was a slugthrower (which looked nothing like the "launcher" he pulled). So, can one of you guys confirm my suspicions?

Never heard of it. Think he might be trying to pull a swifty on you....however, agree to PvP him with carbines and then whip out a Powered up Krayt DXR6 Carbine. If its acid he wants feel free to oblige him!

Dida little more checking and it turns out, the weapon was a flamethrower. He would have decimated me and my "uber" speed-sliced E-11 carbine

ROFL! Man...what a dirty, dirty commando. Isnt it enough that they set everyone else on fire already that they have to go and con people before incinerating them? Hehe.
Good call on the griefer and watch out for those commandos....definitely shifty types!

Heh, the Nym's Slug Thrower is pretty weak but it does look cool on a wall

I use a 300 dmg nym slugthrower...with a PuP on it it does some nice dmg.
given, it isn't the weap of choice for a pure carbineer due to speed, but for a BH carbineer having a 34% dmg on a nym slugthrower can be better than a DXR6 with a dmg slice.

How can ya NOT like the Slug Thrower with the sound it makes when you fire?
I keep one on me always and will bust it out when acid is needed during PvE. More the anything, it has style.

How very true. Does have a sweet sound but I would just like to see one small change....like to see the ROF changed to about 10 rnds/sec to maximise the thrill of using it.

LOL.. I don't know about the cool sound of Nym's Slugthrower. Even when I use it I get edgy and start to look around for the Tusken Sniper laying prone over the canyon edge. After using all the other carbines from A to Z; getting sniped from tuskens; and being used to the many different glows of carbine fire; I am still not to used to the Acid(looks like kinetic) attacks from the Slugthrower. Just mine opinion however. LOL

The Nym's has one HUGE advantage over the DRX6... the HAM cost is almost non-existant. I carry mine around for those time when I am just running errands and don't want to waste the time or money on buffs. My loyalty to Nym has saved my bacon on more than one occasion
