How did you get the krayt tissue and how did you mod it? Do you have to be a bio-engineer?

thats not that big its just over 300 un moded right? i have a 280 un moded laser and i'm not gonna go kill a kryat for 20. But still impresive numbers, unfortunataly i got the speed slice on my laser

after 27% dmg slice, it's 48-378 3.2

after mod it's 48-514 3.2

Here is my setup

Medic 4/0/4/0

Carbineer 4/3/0/0

Bounty Hunter 0/4/0/0

46% composite armor except chest, legs, helm (made from Krayt composite segments)

and I use 3 AT-STs to solo Krayts. I was the first on Radiant to have 3 AT-STs.

9 Laser carbines were& 2 FWG5s were made from 52 Krayt tissues.

52 Krayt tissues were obtained in the course of 3 days of soloing, 35 Krayt dragons were killed.

Krayts drop Krayt Scales and tissues just like a loot drop. A couple of us went out and picked up quite a few for crafting (hopefully I will get my krayt carbine tomorrow =).

Anyway, I didn't see the tissues or scales since we all agreed that the weaponsmith who's making our stuff would get to loot the krayts, but it's my understanding they have certain stats like:

+49 Damage -0.4 speed

These are then used in part of the weapons design and the weapon gains those bonuses. Tissue cannot be used in every weapon. I originally wanted a Long Vibro Axe, but apparently that doesn't use the component. Instead vibro weapons can take vibro motors, or at least that's the name of one that I found. These aren't as good as Krayt Tissue, but can still add +20 damage about.

As for scales, those are used in composite armor.

This is just insane... I think I'm just gonna go out and kill a few krayts...

Did anyone try other big animal drops, such as Kimos? do they drop tissues and scales?

Ok so how do you get the tissue? .. Do you have to BE sample it, or is it loot? .. Or is ita /harvest option?

How many tissues do you get per krayt? .. It seemed by your #'s to be 1-2 per.

Can any weaponsmith use krayt tissue? .. It seems to be about 4-5 krayt tissue per weapon, is that about right?

And .. Where did you have the most luck finding Krayts?
