some changes to carbine are

Improved counterattack modifiers
Lowered carbine melee damage penalty.
Rumor has it that the infamous pirate Nym has begun rewarding adventurers with weapons from his private stockpile. A special 'slug-thrower' carbine is available to those who succeed in Nym's new quest series!
Added melee/ranged damage mitigation 1-3 abilities. These abilities are spread through the elite professions and will limit the damage ranges that can be done to you. If an NPC/Creature attacker does 1-100 points of damage, is using a melee weapon, and you have damage mitigation 3, the actual damage range that can be done to you is actually 1-40. There are 3 damage mitigation abilities for ranged, and 3 for melee. They do not stack.
Is this Nym's carbine quest currently on the test server or is this live now on regular servers?
Oh, and is there any way to raise Nym faction? Mine is like -5000 for some reason. I really wish it wasn't. Anything I can do to bring it up?
Are you sure about the Blood Razors? A friend of mine said he got nothing w/ Nym from killing them. I'm going to be trying the Canyon Corsair soon, but I can't get anything but pirate and bloodRazors on my town's mission terminal...hehe
So, you think this carbine will be kinetic dmg? Maybe stun? Perhaps useful against those Nightsisters, mmm? Interesting. I'll definitely be doing the quest for the faction and the xp, and the gun...heeh
Killing Blood Razors doesn't raise Nym faction.
I have no idea how it happened, but my Nym standing also got dropped down to -5k... its a real pain in the butt. I'll try canyon corsairs, hopefully that will work.
