Heya,
With all the changes hitting TC I would really like to hear from SOJ.
SOJ where are you?
And where are TH's responses to the top 5?
FYI he has logged in pretty recently. Check his profile and it will tell you his most recent log in. I never remeber him being exactly post happy but when he has something to say he conveys it well.

It has been some time sense his last post, but it is the holiday season. He may well work in a bussiness that goes nuts during this season or something. He may have given up all hope and just quit playing but I doubt he would just up and leave without telling us.

Even if SOJ was here and so on and so on. And every single carbineer posted in a thread with detailed info on how fubar we are because of this change, I doubt SOJ could bend their ear to actually listen to us.
Here is a change that will effect so so many classes in the game. It alters combat in a HUGE way. I would have thought they may have enabled character copy, so people could actually test it out. Well, Ok. Experience has taught me better then that, but I could have WISHED.
Frankly, carbineer representation (from SOJ, us, or a carnival full of midgets) is not going to alter if this change goes through or not. The best we can hope for is the pistoleers, BHs, and CHs scream that it sucks so loudly they change it. We are a minority and do not receive the attention we should. Likewise, our voice carries very little effect.
Err, to sum up / long story short, SOJ and a posse of those flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz couldn't alter this one way or the other. Hopefully he has had some time off and some turkey. Maybe SOJ will come back invigorated and ready for another round of launching reports at a brick wall of silence.
I have faith in SOJ because after some research, you can find he has put forth good and SOLID information from testing. It is NOT SOJ who is dropping the ball.

I am a firm believer that every class should have all of its specials FIXED before we go into any sort of combat overhaul. If we're going to overhaul combat, then fix things. Well, we're going to find out after the overhaul that things still need to be fixed. Poor balance issues will crop up again.

MostlyI want to hear from him because other corespondents have mentioned they knew about these changes for some time. Which leads me to believe this maybe what he has been hinting about in other postings.
Do you all remember him saying something was coming and we would like it?
Well if whats happening on test is that thing, or isn't i would like his perspective on it.
He knows more of what is going on than we do.
And ifI recall correctly he has a character on Test Center, hopefully that Character is a Carbineer and could give us some firm idea of how this new system works for a carbineer not just a carnine user.
My guess is he got jerked around by SOE, was told lies about upcoming changes and then was as suprised as us about the changes on Test Center. In which case he may be staying off the boards so he can cool down, and make the decision.
SOJ please comunicate with us, let us know what your take on everything is, and hell even if SOE jerked you around and outright lied to you, talk to us before making that decision.
SOJ will let us know what he can when he can.
The tone of some of his most recent posts suggests to me he is annoyed at not being able to tell us what he knows. Even more, I get the impression that what he knows is similar to "we're looking into it".
Aye, SOJ is logging in. No doubt seeing if there is anything he can do for us other then say "I am not sure guys and gals." And when he sees there isn't, he goes back to eating turkey. --shrug-- Just my general opinion, I know none of this for sure. We need a little doorway in the corner of the forum that will warp us into his brain for a few minutes. Like in Being John Malkovich, Now that would be entertainment.
