Can a Master Carbineer shoot specials once per second?

Far from it.

Only a character who has skill in both the bounty hunter carbines line, and the assault line in carbineer will be able to reach this goal. 100 speed means that no delay, no matter the time, will bring the effective firing speed above 1 second, while 95 is, for all intents and purposes, good enough for even cripple shot.

haha Yes... I can with the right gun and the right special.


I have a carbine... um.. an E11 carbine sliced down to 2.2 speed


I can fire off Legshot1 once per second

Sure you can.


A friend of mine has a 1.4 speed dh17 about 111-270


Me i'm using a regular dh17 at 2.2. I put a powerup on that and it goes down to 1.7. Full auto single 2 fire at full speed cap and cripple at about ~1.2-1.5


well i used to. I dropped carbineer a while ago to do my holos. i now mastered about 10 profs and i'm tired. so i'm leveling back to master carbineer. I miss it to much.

i am an ex-master rifleman with 4/0/0/4 marksman. i could shoot head shots at once per second. Why would a rifleman be faster than a carbineer? I thought carbineers were the middle between rifle and pistol. Carbineer is a holo profession, but I am tired of holo grinding and I am going to play carbineer for awhile, but this news dissapoints me.

Because riflemen get the 95 speed I mentioned above at master, thus being able to reduce any shot (including special mutlipliers) up to 20 seconds in delay to the one-second cap.

Carbineers, by some cruel twist of fate, do not. In fact, a pure master has, hands down, the worst speed modifier of any pure master ranged combatant in the game. Welcome to the carbineer profession, it's been the story of our life here on live. Heck, we've dealt with having the lowest speed modifiers (still not remedied, despite us insisting on being placed somewhere between riflement and pistoleers for some time now), having specials that were meant for us given to pistoleers instead (their master shot had our charge shot 2 effect -- AE KD -- until something like October, and our charge shot 2 still doesn't work right), and been taunted with a shot that's pretty good at applying dizzy -- for a duration of zero seconds. Oh yeah, and our best shot lists as 1 damage in the combat window, because the game refuses to report damage to multiple pools when it can't color the number to indicate which pools. We'd be thrilled with just an aggregate total, and no indication of pool distributions for the combat text, but apparently it's too hard or not important.
