Hey all,
I have enough skill pts to go up one tree in Carbineer, which one should i do? I am Master Rifleman, Doc 0-4-4-0. I know the knockdown is nice what tree does that come on?

I have enough skill pts to go up one tree in Pistoleer. I am a Master Sharpshooter and Doc 0-4-4-0, and am looking for something to help when things get to close.

I suggest the line that gives you Ranged and Melee Def. You willget moreuse out of this tree than any other considering your character's current configuration.
0/0/0/4 would be your best bet. +40 Melee Defense and Pistolwhip special
Pistolwhip is great. The only other thing worth it is bleedshot. If you try for accuracy you won't have any specials to use. So choose a gun that is best at better distances than 'in-your-face' and use the pistolwhip.
Republic, FWG5 and striker has the best aim at 24m.
The beauty of 0/0/0/4, for you, is that you are getting XP in that tree even without using a pistol. Nice! Fan shot is the only thing you may gain in techniques, and since you already have Damage Mitigation X3, and it doesn't stack, that one is not a good choice, I don't think. Pistol accuracy up close is kind of a non-issue, especially at the speeds you will be dealing with. So I would go either 4/0/0/0, for the dodges, or 0/0/0/4, for the melee defense, and pistol whip, and gaining XP while using your rifle.
