Carbineer Archive
Thread: I kinda picture Carbineer as the suppport expert...
You'remuch correct. Some really good PvP guilds outfit a lot of their people with carbines. One carbine isn't that effective against one individual. But two or three carbines combined against a group of individuals is kinda cool thanks to FAA2, aoe bleeds, ranged kd, and mass spread of stun and blind.

I'm new to carbine, but I personally picture it as a supporting man's role - the guy carrying the M-16 or even M249 to the Rifleman's M82A2or the Pistoleer's Sig P228. He's the guy with the suppression fire, the full auto, the multi-target attacks, and so forth. He should be able to lay down suppression fire, forcing opponents to duck or hit the dirt, he should be able to spray an area (or multiple opponents) with multiple shots (more damage), and he should be able tooffer cover fire for his allies to get to safety (or flee) themselves. I picture Carbineer as being the staple of any combat group, and carrying a weapon that's very analagous to those used in modern day tactical warfare.
Any comments?
BAR 1918 from world war two... squad support gunners... thats what I see carbineers as
