Alright, here's the scoop:

A lot of people do not take into consideration the possibility of owning Elite Carbine, their high end damage is not very high. HOWEVER - they have a VERY good range between minimum and maximum - as they do in speed. A current (non-Krayt-non-Sliced) Elite Carbine I own, is a 2.2 speed, 106-190 damage. HAM cost, may still be an issue however. If I remember correctly, it's Health cost is 30, Action 40, and Mind 21. The mind cost is very good - BUT, with a Krayt Elite Carbine made with the FINEST of materials, these are it's stats:

2.0 Speed
210-430 damage
Costs:
Heath: 28
Action: 29
Mind: 17

This weapon is GODLY, and UNSLICED. It is a definite new cutting edge in the Carbineer profession. I have seen very few Carbineer's, and even FEWER with Elite Carbines - MANY MANY have taken into considering using a Laser Carbine. Yes, the Laser Damage DOES give godly damage - at Novice, with my unsliced, non-Krayt LC I was able to hit about 2200's using Full Auto Single 2. HOWEVER - their low end damage was SO low, that using REGULAR shots did FAR less damage then spamming specials.

BUT, with the Elite Carbine I have described here, I have been able to do far better CONSISTANT damage - not with a large variant, and with a very nice speed. Using Full Auto Single 2, I am able to hit 2200's + - though more frequently it is aronud 1700, but the HAM cost is much lower than that of a Laser Carbine.

In PvP, for instant, agaisnt a player wearing Adv.Composite, somewhere between 65 - 70% effectiveness, I was able to hit 400 damage flat, atleast, without using ANY specials. Again, I am merely suggesting that Carbineers consider into purchasing an Elite Carbine. The price I paid for mine, was only 40k. (I provided the tissue, without it the Master Weaponsmith wold have only charged me 70k.) Good luck to all you Carbineers out there! Bloodfin is like 105- 179 damage 3.5 delay Elite Carbines,also was this made since last patch?

NICE - thanks for the heads up and posting stats. I figured there was a reason Elites were in the game and the DEVs couldn't be *that* assinine about it,also that poor Elites were probably a resource issue. This is something wonderful for us to look forward to... Off to Tat

I wish there was someone on the Naritus server who could make me a carbine like that. i would be willing to pay whatever price was set for a carbine like that.

Hmm...as for the materials used, I am honestly not sure at all. I asked the Weaponsmith to use the FINEST of materials she had, and the Krayt Tissue I brought her. (which was quite an abundance, so I'm not sure which specific one she picked to use - each was different)

But so far, my Elite Carbine as beformed EXTREMELY well in combat - and the price was very nice to. I suggest players of different galaxies doing extensive resarch on weaponsmiths, resources, and ways to get Krayt Scales. (NOTE: Krayt was taken down without use of AT-STs)

Also, this Elite Carbine was made recently, so not before the patch(s)...if you are interested in what resources were used and such, I honestly couldn't tell you for the life of me. Resources aren't my specialty, unfortuneltly. :/

Wow that Elite Carbine is really nice even before the Krayt Tissue! All the Elites I've seen on Kettemoor are lower damageand slower (~96-165/3.8)with the same HAM as a laser. Really an E11 is better, still energy with AP1 but more damage, faster and lower HAM.

Do you happen to remember what the stats were on the tissue you used? I'm on Starsider, and I've collected up a fair bit of tissue, but the weaponsmith told me to hang onto it until some advanced power somethingorothers came out. In general, Starsider's resources seem to be shoddier than the other servers He (the weaponsmith) also told me that adding them into the Elite would be a relative waste; he seemed to feel the laser or DRX6 were better options to make with it.

how many tissues would an elite take anyone?

As I said, I'm not good with resources, even for a bit. So I don't know what stats it had, and if they were good or bad, OR what resources the weaponsmith used. Heh, the only thing I do know is that the Elite Carbine took 5 units of the Krayt Tissue to make. That's about it.
