Thread: A new take on supression fire...

So since the devs have stated they hate moves like supresssion fire (because posture change is so evil) and KD (because the nazi's used it apparently) Perhaps we could take a new approach on these types of moves that would put more control into the players hands.


Without any real explanation from the devs my perception on the meaning of supression fire is that we spray such a vast amount of fire towards our target he is forced to duck out of the way in order to survive and take a knee. But what doesn't make any sense is how anybody can have resists to this. Maybe if they are quite nimble they could duck out of the way of your fire, but from the animiation supression fire seems to spray in a wide cone.


But what if we change things around. The principal behind going prone is to keep your head down and away from fire. So what if instead Supresion Fire was adjusted to specificially hit the mind pool, it would continue to hit the mind pool unless the target by his own decision took a knee or went prone. In which case it wouldn't have any effect.
