Thread: Master Carbineer special or maybe new weapon cert?

What does everyone think we should have for a Master Carbineer special?

I think it should be something like a crippleshot 2. Maybe have a 8.5-9.0 damage modifier (crip1 is 7.5) but fire slower, or have (slightly) higher HAM cost.


Or perhaps a certification for a carbine only useable by master carbineers. Would really have to be a damn good carbine though (AP 3, 150-200 damage, blast type *drools*)

Yeah we need a master Carb special and cert. I would say a stun damage carbine and a Cripple Shot 2 with a 8x AOE attack should be suffice.

oh come now we all know a cripple shot 2 would need to be a 10+ modifier as well as an AoE. maybe dizy an KD too? hehe. well we can dream anyways.

How bout a special like cripple shot 2 that causes Intimadate and forces the target into "walk mode" for say 10-20 seconds.



And yeh a master quality stun carbine sounds realy nice. The T21 equilavent in a carbine if you will. But at the master level it better be master quality. Not just a dot on an already low end weapon.

/fullAutoSingle3 - Higher Damage mult version with same states applied to target. Maybe same damage as /fullautosingle2 with a higher chance to stun/blind/dizzy.


/chargeshot3 - 10 second delay, or intimidate, or even for that matter move /chargeshot2 to master to stop the dabblers.


/actionshot3 - Single target, action bleed, with a chance to stun/blind (not Dizzy)


I don't thinka weapon cert is a good idea. If we get a new weapon i think it should be in the second box of either Assualt Tactics or Special Abilities.

Yes we need one...but we need to see how the combat rebalance goes (Publish 8). I am trying to tackle our issues 1 at a time. Specials are basically all fixed. HAM and guns should be fixed in 8. I think soon we will need a new Top 5 Issues and I am sure this will be on it.

I'd like two specials. x6 normal damage, x4.5 area damage.
but with a 0.9 reload timer so we can actually compete on speed.

Or an extra +15 speed in the master box. +60 is.. erm.. a little low.

Still they are revamping weapons for Publish 8. Never know what might happen.

How about a shot called Pandemonium shot. 5.0 damage multiplier and a 2.25 speed modifier. It would have a chance to intimidate, stun, blind, and dizzy a target.

It would cause extreme chaos and disorder alright.

There have been some changes to this Proffesion but yet it does not feel like we have an even balance with other proffesions. I have been a master carbineer for some time now. I have tried all the weapons, upgrades, stats enhansers and yet I am not as powerfull as you would think. There needs to be a serious look at this proffesion an there needs to be a weapon that really stands out from the rest without having to have all the modifiers applied when made. The elite is OK.... but thats it. This is the certified weapon for the master for the path of carbine.... yet is not as good as you would think. I have a laser that rocks but is only when I compare it to all the others I have used and for what I have paid for it. The CArbineer should be more than what it is. Have fun I like my proffesion but it really needs to be better than it is.


Ohh... I like the certification for a weapon with good damage or stats.

I think an awesome special for crowd control type classes like Carbineers that doesn't yet exist in game would be some sort of "ensnare" effect. It would, say, half movement speed for a certain period of time. Would be great for keeping opponents "in line" and under control and would fit in well with the specials we already have.

Cert: Scatter pistol type of carbine which is a stun or cold attack
Special: Cripple2 or a Fullauto Single3 type of attack which is a aoe.
