First off...

Look at the LOVE we got, complainers SHUT UP!!!

Carbineers have every "broken" special fixed BEFORE the Combat Revamp. How many other professions can say that?

Legshot3 is already fixed with a change to AoE and will be implemented in Publish 8. Please do some reading of posts so 10 people don't ask the same question.

Scattershot1/2 message in the Combat window problems are system wide, not just Carbineer. It took 7 months to fix our displayed Title, I don't believe this is a priority. Please do some reading of posts so 10 people don't ask the same question.

HAM costs are NOT changing until the Combat Revamp. Why in the world would they modify the HAM on our specials and weapons when it is all going out the window for the new system? Lets think intelligently like we all are here. Please do some reading of posts so 10 people don't ask the same question.

Speed is not going to be adjusted until the Combat Revamp. Again, why in the world would they modify the Speed modifier we get when the underlying system is getting changed. Please do some reading of posts so 10 people don't ask the same question.

I used to like being a carbineer now I LOVE being a carbineer. Went to a low level cave today and bled, stunned, dizzied, blinded, posture-changed and knocked-down everything in sight....I've never been so satisfied in this game ever!!!

I am going home in 10 minutes WOOT WOOT

The % sticking of states needs some more testing as I am positive you, on average, will need a lot more than 2 shots to stick Dizzy. Oh now this testing is going to be FUN and great for Faction Points

Its not going to be a superpower PVP class as we still dont have a Stun weapon, therefore good composite eats most of our damage. It will however be a huge key to any group PVP action to disrupt your enemies so that your Damage classes such as Commando TK and Riflemen can have a field day. Go into it with that mindset and I think you will be pleased, but dont expect to solo and own.

Got my ass kicked in PvP today as a 4423 carbineer. None of our weapons have damage types that can break through that nice composite.

there were 5 targets, some of them may have dizzied on the first shot, but the one i had aimed at took 2. I'd love to know the percentages on it sticking, but i really don't have the patience to be a tester

FAA2 has a quick enough reload that if the average falls in 2 to 4 shots I'm happy with it. Even if dizzy doesnt' stick early, blind helps you stay in there longer, and stun definately helps sitck both dizzy AND the kd. Maybe open with LS3 and then move to FAA2 for better results? Man what a great problem to have - finally trying to figure out what specials to use when!

I did some testing vs npc's and it seems that the dizzy is on a timer (?) sort of like knockdown... if I dizzy someone and it wears off, I can't apply a new dizzy again for like 30 seconds or more. I tried using FAA2, FAS2, and combinations of those and other specials to break it up a bit.

Good news however is that the dizzy AND the knockdownhas a pretty good chance to stick the first one or two shots (against npc's)... I went after a group of rebel npc's ranging from medics up to generals and fired FAA2 twice followed by a CS2. Generally 80% of them went down and about half ended up doing the fish-flop.

Overall... I'm very very happy and can't wait to use this stuff in PvP.

Ooh... some important notes though.

1. DO NOT spam chargeshot2!!! If you hit someone twice with the knockdown, they pop right back up... same thing happens with CS1. You're not going to knock down everybody with CS2, but you'll hit quite a few of em... so just fire it once and then dizzy / posture change to keep the rest of the group either on their knees or on their backs.

2. If you don't apply dizzy in the first two shots, don't keep spamming the same special... for some reason if you use FAS2 repeatedly and don't apply a dizzy early, you have a low chance of applying it on subsequent shots. Not to say you can't, but from what i've done today, it doesn't seem likely. What DOES work however, is switching it up occasionally with FAA2 or some other specials and then coming back.

I haven't tried this stuff in PvP yet, but in PvE today this is what i've seen.
