I got novice carbineer a looooong time ago, and its taking me forever to advance.
So far, i'm 0-1-1-0, after something like......2 months. Granted I don't play all that
often, nor do I seriously grind, but all the same, there must be an easy way of advancing
up the skill tree. Where should I go from here?

Go up Assault to get some Speed. Get some Speed/Min powerups. Find some Speed sliced Carbines.
The best way to level is with AoE attacks, using pets, and grouped in a large group to get maximum spawn numbers per wave. Savage Quenkers are the most bang for the buck in my opinion but I like the higher paying Rav Tortons and watching them drop too ![]()

I agree. IMO, generally it's best to specialize rightaway rather than go up horizontally (i.e. go up one line first, than another etc). Speed would be good since speed is relatively problematic even at master. You could also go up accuracy if you're finding misses to be a problem.
