Thread: Weapons make states land?

Well I was in coronet with a few PvP'ing friends on the Wanderhome galaxy and I was testing out some attacks. Anyway, to cut a long story short, the DXR6 seems to land states much more often then the laser or elite.

I havn't done any serious testing, just some playing around, but from what it looks like, the DXR6 will land all states from full auto and wild shot in the first 3 hits, but with the laser and elite it seems to take a dozen shots to land one or two states. I don't know if this has been confirmed but in various situations against defense stackers the DXR6 seems to be great at dropping states.

Maybe something you guys could test? Pretty certain this is true though. I don't have any other weapons on my at the moment though so I can't test anything else heh.

Hope this is new info for you guys

I think its more dependent on your rate of fire and the luck of the draw. I've had an Enhanced E11 land every state in the opening volley, and I've had that same gun go forever without landing anything.

Completely random that I've seen.

I agree with the completely random part. After shooting hundreds of Rancors, sometimes I land all 3 states in 3 shots and sometimes they die in 20 shots and only have 1 or 2 states applied.

I have never looked close enough to see if the target's resistance to a damage type has any effect on the states......I don't think it does but there are still a couple bugs in SWG

have not paid too much attention to states applied, but I do notice a higher rate of sucessful knockdowns from using the higher cert weapons

That is funny because my DH17 applies states just as well as my DXR6....

I think the key to applying states lies largely in *accuracy*.

I tend to find things like kd/posture change work much better at ideal range then point blank, and I believe this applies to things like stun/dizzy/blind as well.

Give it a try sometime, you'd be surprised how much difference it makes.

I see you post all the time in this forum, so wondering if you are a "self proclaimed forum leader" then why does every post of mine(which are either a question or a statement of fact) always followed by some sort of trollish answer on your part

Why don't ya take your "funny" to some other guys posts please

WHO are YOU???? I don't even recognize your name.....I replied what, once or twice maybe directly to you....give me a break and DO NOT ATTACK ME. May I remind you of the TOPIC OF THIS THREAD......STATES..... I am so sorry for staying on TOPIC....

I do post a lot, so what? I have answers and opinions that most reasonable people appreciate here. Hell, I reply to nearly every thread on this forum so why are you surprised that I reply to this thread????

I post 50-100 per week and YOU PICK ONE.....give me a break, I did not even get close to touching your buttons, you pushed them all by yourself. But by all means, go and start a personal attack against me.....the last thing I want to do here is degrade this fine forum, but I won't let someperson go off on me without defending myself.

At the same time, I won't degrade myself by going down to your level here either.

THIS IS JUST A GAME, why do people have to be so RUDE that I MUST defend myself against this crap????? Lighten up and go have some FUN

OMG NO FAIR! The devs probably gave Lihpson an "uber" version of SWG in which everything is perfect and there are no bugs! I WANT I WANT!

But doesn't it conflict with the normal versions? I mean, if there were a bug that caused /tenddamage to knock down whoever it's used on, and it were used on you, would you get knocked down or not? Or would you appear knocked down to others but to you, everything is peachy?
