I am a Master CH and Master Carbineer that plays 99.9% solo. I have been spamming Burst shot almost all the time except when one of my pets apply a dizzy state then I use charge shot. Now I know I am not using my specials to the best degree possible.

So my question is: Considering PVE how do you use your specials to get the most out of the Carbineer?

I would recommend tossing in a few FAA2's for the states, and the occasional Chargeshot2. If you are taking out ranged npc's also use the occasional actionshot2 or suppresion2 for the posture change, then if they are dizzied they will fall repeatedly. Burstshot2 is definately the most damaging area shot we have, so stick with that for dealing out the damage, but states are always a plus.

As you can see in my Sig, we have the same professions Nicely done

First, there is no Dizzy/KD fish flop on creatures, only NPC and PC. So waiting to land Dizzy then doing ChargeShot1 is quite pointless. From my initial testing, landing states makes the KD land easier, but I only did limited testing this weekend on Enraged Rancors.

Second, with MCH you should be using the AoE specials, FullAutoArea2, BurstShot2, and ChargeShot2. If you just want to apply Stun, you can use WildShot2, but I prefer to land all 3 states.

Third, I rarely use CripplingShot unless I don't want to aggro the whole group. With MCH my goal is to get all creatures on my pets, even if that means I wait 20-30 seconds to attack all the creatures with the pets, then very efficiently wipe them out with AoE specials.

Honestly with pets the only time I worry about ChargeShot is when I get the aggro, otherwise I just don't use it much on creatures.
