I was in the Geonosian Caves on Sunday andI was near a room that had a whole bunch of crazed geonosians probably 20+,all together. I was with a couple of people tka, cm, and smuggler i think. Anyway to sum up the encounter it didn't work out so good after a few incappes of my peers including me once we finally wiped out the room, well I got my fair share of loot but it got me thinking...what if there were1 or 2 more carbineers there with me?
I looked through my combat log after the ordeal and I was impressed to see the shear amount of carnage I was dealing out to those bugs, and my companions were only attacking one at a time. Buy my log: 5-8 crazed geo's were subject to my burst fire, and every so often i would let loose a charge shot 2, and you could definatly see diference in dmg tothe ones the were on the ground.
Imagine if there were 2 or 3 high level carbineers and thier secondary class, not only in that room of the Geonosian cave but other mobs too. If anyone is interested to try this out contact me in-game...

Just went thru the Geo Cave.....I could solo everything but Acklay with relative ease ![]()
I got Acklay down to 6900 health from 106000.......oh so close......

I think the point they where making was thatit is not just the Geonisan Cave, but if we hunt go and hunt with another carbineer. Think of it like true-to-life combat patrols there is normally always two of each given weapon in the patrol if not everyone using the same weapon just different damage types. Why because having buddy is always a good thing.
I can also see where it would work in game for two carbineers togo hunting together ie double the chance toland our state effects.
I love my novice carbineer secondary toon. Very fun to play in hunting groups, and I am only wearing ubese jacket and gloves. I ambuffed of course it helps to have a master doc in the guild that buff when we need it.

A good krayt DRX6 is great in geo cave (creatures either are vulnerable to acid or has lower resists). Last time I was there I soloed that room which is filled with geonosians. Burst shot2 cut them down like butter. And at that time I was not even master.
Yes, it would be fun with 2-3 carbineers and 1-2 tanks. Of course a rifleman with a good T-21 or DRX rifle and Strafeshot 2 would do even more damage but that is another story.

Unfortunately, neither carbineers, nor riflemen can ever "rule" the geo caves
That belongs to the melee professions. I recently switched to carbineer/swordsman. Before that I was a carbineer/BH and everytime I went to the caves I got my ass handed to me by either the kwis or the kliks. Now I was fighting 3-4 kwis at once
I cleared the cave including the acklaywith a fencer friend in less than half an hour.

Yes, you need a tank. But when taking on the crazed genosians it works fine.
