Hello, some of you may know me, although I highly doubt that, but my Name is Joober from the (lovely) galaxy of Chilastra, and I just have some questions on carbineer. Thanks in advance for any help that you give me. (keep in mind I also plan on doing BH carbines for the added speed/accuracy)
1.What weapons/stats do i absolutely NEED for PvP (not talkin jedis here, just defence stackers and riflemen)
2.What strategies/special combinations are good for PvE? for PvP?
3. Lastly, is the im sure all too commonly asked question, but, what is the best place/way to get carbines xp?
Thanks again for your time.

1. You must have at least a DXR6 and Laser for PvP, but the real key of any prof in PvP is a DoT.....
2. You must learn to master 8-10 Specials. This means knowing WHEN and HOW in different situations. Unfortunately we don't spam just one special like HeadShot3
3. Pick things that are low in Armor Rating, Energy Resist, and Acid Resist. Other than that, this is like all other combat profs, kill everything that moves on a "busy" planet getting 4-5k XP per kill in under 60 seconds
The FAQ gives more details on weapons and skills, but one difference will be going up BH Carbs to at least 3 before going up Carbineer. You get more Skill Mods per amount of Carbine XP that way. Speed and Accuracy are the Carbineer's weakness and BH more than makes up for that.
Oh, feel free to give me a shout on Chilastra.....or SpaceBeta1

1) If you are going toseriously PvE and PvP as a carbineer and you want an edge and want to do decent damage, you'll need BH or tapes to cap specials at 1.0. Once you are capped try at least to get stocked/scope %30++ Damage Sliced Carbines (Krayt if you can afford it). You'll want a DXR6 (Great Accuracy at Ideal Range and it's acid damage is vulernable to PSGs...) A good laser carbine (against stackers with no mitigation)...and perhaps a good elite carbine against your ranged types. Your laser should hit like 600+ damage with a powerup, maybe your elite like 500+. The DXR6 Maybe like 400. Speed under 4.0 is good if you are capped.
2) In PvE it is simple...start out at ideal range, even prone if you'd like, fire off some full autos and stick some states on first, then stand and kite if necessary..if the target gets close, try a posture down...keep running..lay down more fire..once then get up, toss in a KD, keep firing.... And when the KD timer runs out you can posture down again..just remember to use your state effects and posture/KD as much as possible, then once you have them stated (with full auto single or confusion shot) then hammer the target with your offensive "power" moves, such as cripplingshot/burstshot/scattershot. ALWAYS take advantage of that KD modifier, and get in those specials when they are on their back....
same pretty much goes for PvP...If you approach the stacker switch to the DXR6 Carbine (awesome ideal range)and take the accuracy food, maybe grab novice brawler. I would warcry them first, slap on an intimidate...then start to kite and spam full auto / confusion shot..once they are intimidated, stun blinded and dizzyed, then you can lay on the KD (they will have high defense to that, so might want to try actionshot/suppression2)...then once they are on their back, switch to that laser carb, and get in some scattershot2's or cripplingshots.....
As far as rifleman goes, they should be pretty easy to KD and apply state effects on...you should get them KD'd rather fast, then its a matter of switching to the elite if they have mitigtation, or and DXR6 carbine.
Against stackers with no medic skills, the crippling shot as a main attack move sounds logical, but against your prepared types scatterhit looks like a good special to use.
3) If you are just starting out with carbines and leveling, you could either use a speed sliced Nym's (2.9 or Faster) or a Speed Sliced 2.5 or less laser carbine....Your speed will royally suck, so make sure you stick with those weapons speed sliced.....Best thing to do is regular quenkers on dantooine (5k mission payouts) because your weapons are Armor Piercing Light and AP2, and the quenkers are AP0 with only %15-%25 Energy Resist, so your weapons should eat them up. After you get decent speed and some accuracy, I would switch to savage quenkers all the way through.
If you compare the creatures, nothing comes close...savage quenkers have like 7k HAM and are worth like 3400 XP, can't beat it.

'Ey...Stop it! Don't be bustin' on my /headshot3. Yes, I am guilty of button mashing and spamming it, but if you experience the full awesomeness and power of the Jawa, you would understand. And Rifleman takes skill also! Taking cover in PvE, using Stun/Dizzy single and AoE moves..and we're the only profession with a posture UP move. And playing a carbineer does come down to spamming 1 or 2 moves...once your enemy is stated and KD'd or kneeling, you have to resort to 1 or 2 specials to deal your damage. Same with rifleman, we have strafe2 and headshot3.. carbineer would be cripple or scatter.
