.....and I am sure I know the answers, but in case I am missing something.


One higher level NS like Protectors, they are 100% resistance to all damage type of a carbineer...energy, heat and acid. If this is the case, a carbineer can't damage these...correct?


If the above is the case, is there something I can do to lower their resist? blind? stun?


Also, if they are totally resistance to my damage type, can I still get states on them?


and

If someone has any suggestion on fighting NS's with a carbine, please let me know. I am not wanting to solo them, but when hunting NS with friends, it seems I am useless...and I am wonderful if there is anything I can do to change this (changing professions, which is not an option......rearranges on my secondary professions is an option)

I am not sure on the answers to your questions, but will give some input. I cannot quite remember if AP of weapons has anything to do with resistances. I haven't fought Nightsisters in many months, so I can not remember their Armor Rating. I trying to remember if when you use a higher armor piercing weapon than their armor, it still makes a dent. Not positive, and problem wrong, but that's my $0.02.


I'm not too sure about the blind/stun states either, but that is a good question. Hopefully we can get some better expertise in here.

Its impossible to kill NS's with 100% to our damage types unless we use DoT's. Once a mob gets to below 50% of its ham its resistance start to drop. So in theory you could put a load of dots on the protectors then once it has <50% ham you can start to attack it normally. But tbh that'll take far too long and isnt really worth it.

As for ap, i dont think it makes a difference to 100% resistant mobs. I remember when i was a rifleman, some 100% energy NS's got in the way of my SS2's and they were taking 0 damage.

Blind/stun/dizzy etc wont lower there resists at all so thats no use either. Basically as a carbineer you just have to stick to rangers and outcast...

alternatively, seek out the spider clan clan and SMC. all the resists on them vary greatly. Dragoons have a vuln to heat, and are 20k ham, so they loot nicely. Take some friends ato the spider clan cave, good fun, bit different from NS which can get a bit dull. similar loot cept no NS lances.


And the spider clan cave is the prettiest cave i have seen. really nice. and got a named mob and is usually full.
