to all my carbineer comrades, please consider using legshot3/2 if you don't already, targets action pool and stuns your target. (i believe legshot3 has an accuracy mod over legshot2, so i almost always stick to legshot3,
good luck my friends.

A+ and a cookie for you too forgoten
After doing the math, taking a 175 average damage Carbine with 3.5 speed.....and a rough 3/2/1 H/A/M distribution you get the following DPS numbers:
LegShot2/3 (250 DPS):H=0, A=250, M=0
FullAutoSingle2 (404 DPS): H=202, A=135, M=67
CripplingShot (375 DPS): H=188, A=125, M=62
This is for a Master Carbineer with +60 Carbine Speed.
I for one was always looking at total DPS, which is not the best way to look at things if the H/A/M distribution is 3/2/1......
Almost makes you feel like LegShot3 isn't broken but LegShot2 is....

It's very strange and I still think I'm one of the only people who notice it, but for me the difference between Legshot 2 & 3 and HeadShot 2 & 3 is huge. With the 2 version my damage always seems to cap around the 1500 mark, but with the 3 variant I get a certain number of shots much much higher, up raound the 2500 mark. I would suggest that LS2 (and HS2) has for example, a range of 100 to 1500, and LS3 100to 2500. This is of course just idle observation, but I seem to see this behaviour consitently no matter if I'm carbineer or rifleman.
NOTE: Actual figure vary depending on season, time of day, mood, spice, # of naked women present and general force ambience...

Sounds like a review of the Damage Modifiers for Specials needs to be done.....
This is easy enough on the Max Damage method and would reveal any "cap" on damage for LegShot2.

You guys need to get out more! In the medical forums (and sometimes ranger and dancer) we get upwards of 5 to 6 of us in a single post...

We would, but we're too gimped to risk solo forays into other forums. We'll get pwned.

When i did rifleman for a while i noticed a large difference between HS2 and HS3. With Swordsman their is giant leap between Headhit2 and Headhit3. But with carbineer the big win between legshot2 and legshot3 is that legshot3 is AoE. But at the current time no difference is there. It is possible the devs snuck a steal fix in on us and upped the damage since i am fairly certain most carbineers that would really notice the change just stick to legshot2 since they are under the impression legshot3 is broken.

Well my calcs are from the "old" numbers, so any boost to the Damage Modifier for LegShot3 would make a HUGE difference.
In case it wasn't clear, LegShot2/3 will kill a target (with equal H/A/M bars)quicker than any other Carbineer Special. This assumes you are NOT speed capped and the target is not one shot killed with CripplingShot

/agree with TA there despite the lower damage output, the fact that all the hits are going against a single pool makes a large difference. Really only useful for solo grinding though, most PvP is targeted at the mind and most PvE is just high damage random pool attacks which end up on the health pool, so working the action pool really works against your group, unless you have a group of pike/carbs running together.
Actually that sounds like a grand plan. We should get a group together and do something like the vette but only use action damage.

Although I took 100% into Action for LegShot2/3, but is it still 10/80/10 H/A/M?
So my numbers might be off a bit
If that is the case then LegShot2/3 are 1% less than FAS2....
LegShot2/3 (250 DPS):H=25, A=200, M=25

As long as you went 100% to one pool for both shots, then for comparison purposes (i.e. X is #% better than Y) you'd be ok. Yes, Legshot will do 10/80/10 and not 0/100/0, but FAS will also do 80% to the targeted pool when it hits, not 100%.
