Farewell and so long. I've been a master carbineer since November. Tonight I dropped the carbineer line and whats the first four things I notice.
Hey ranged defense works. Wonder what I have for it. +8?!? I had +27 and it only worked once since Nov. And that happened to be today. Hmmmm.
Whoa. I can special now without killing myself. Interesting.
Hey most pistols are on par with carbines in dmg. Good thing I have the republic certification.
Wow!!! I have a range of damages and weapons to choose from.
Now before anyone considers that one of those flaming posts. Don't. Im trying to offer some constructive critisim. I didn't take up carbineer to be uber. Obviously from the bugs in the profession and the weapons themselves it was self explanitory. I had alot of fun with the profession. My favorite moment was proving to someone that I could in fact solo an anchient rancor. But im in for a change. And I am really tired of killing myself in PVP. I mean I was my own worst enemy. I have a laser carbine that does as much damage to me as I do to them when using scattershot. That was hillarious. And with the things above (and I just started the trudge torwards commando/pistoleer) hopefully some amount of change can come out of it.
To those taking up the profession cause of charge shot. Don't. The attack does very little damage. Just cause you can't move doesn't mean you cant fire. To those taking it cause they think it's fun. It is. Just remember to bump up your mind pool and carry lots of stims cause your going to need it.

well, i personally will never drop carbineer. why? If you are playing it right (or are a defense stacker 
) i feel that you are the equal of anyone in the game. Take my most recent example.
Me vs. one of the best PvPers on intrepid, Dire Force-Tracker. He's a master brawler/TKM/master medic. We're at 1 and 1 for 2 duels, and i have a bunch of skillpoints into CHEF!
I have not met a BH/Pistoleer that could beat me, ever, when i was a CH or now. The only rifelmen i've met that could kill me where riflemen/MCMs.
The only other professions to ever defeat me in a fair battle (ie, me not going on a muon downer while being eyeshotted) are TKMs and Commandos, and yes, that is it.
I guess either intrepid has some really good carbines, or everyone else uses stocked carbs, because if i'm using a non-stocked carbine, i don't do any damage to myself at all. And i'm not even a doctor, heh.
We will be sorry to see you go, but i guess i just don't see the logic behind your leave.

heh Ryschate really takes care of the ham costs. Doesn't anybody realize this?
You should try Carbineer + Bh lines, you become the most overpowered godly thing in existence.

LOL. I try to save spices and buffs for pvp. But it still sucks when those wear off. Hence the reasoning behind wanting a set of composite to fit without buffs and weapons I can fight with over a period of time. And the super carbineer really intrigues me. But I need change lol.
Your right about being equal with proper defense stacking. Let me tell you the TKM/Master carbineer combo is wicked. I just want to try something else till carbineer gets fixed. Judging from the looks of it It's going to be a while. And I don't know about your server but on mine (ahazi) it seems like everyone and their grandmother is going carbineer. I hate that.
