The problem I have with the bounty hunter skill points increase is that Carbineers are forced even more so now to dabble into bounty hunter to complete their profession, discuss.

Well really, the only thing I'm getting out of it is 10 more accuracy and sprayshot. Both of which is nice, but not really a HUGE deal. In terms of carbines, its pretty much the same power as prepatch Mcarbs/3400 BHs, just more points to get a small amount of defense. Defensive stacker carbineers will still be able to compete.

I put some thought into this.

We have an apprentice carbine specialist but no carbine specialists. I was thinking that a couple of professions could spring from this in the form of pistol specialist and carbine specialist. The requirements would obviously be master carbine/pistol with bh carbine/pistols. By the time you get this your pretty much maxed out on speed and accuracy for both weapons. So include some new attacks and some defense or maybe ham reduction to specials.I dunno, the sky could be thelimit with this. With the new changes to BH coming down the pike its possible to have this "hybrid".

a little off topic, but....bh carbineer grind is absolutely horrible. Are pure carbineers any good?

Exactly my thoughts. See my thread for details.

The BH dabbling for us.. more "hardcore" Carbineers.. isn't all that useful, sadly.

Why would I need to dabble into Bounty Hunter? I wasnt a Bounty Hunter before, and I still held my own in pvp. **edit** going Bounty Hunter if you have max SEA's. Waste of skillpoints.

Fire KD alone is worth the effort, its even a good excuse to go back and Master Marksman for the modest boost that offers.

FireKD is HORRIBLE. Sprayshot + Surpressionfire + Underhand or CHargeshot1 is 32423x better.

AMEN.....

The purpose behind this change is to boost current BH's...althought I am not sure the Devs really hit the nail on the head.

I could care less if it knocks them over, I just want to land the DOT. DOT weapons have become so common on Kettemoor that a Fire DOT symbol landing on someone in a fight has been known to cause people to break off and run.

Its a psychological thing, not an effect thing. And I don't have bottomless millions of credits for SEAs.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but FireKD (despite the name, and despite the description of the attack) does not cause a fire DOT.

The BH skill mods are still good for those of us not sitting on an architecture fortune though.

FireKD doesn't land a fire dot. Torsoshot does.
