Thread: Gimme help with templates!

I have been melee for about 8 straight months now, and i got bored. I love pvp and i hate rifleman. (they are fun to pvp against, but i dont think they take much skill to use personally). So i decided to try out carbineer. I'm a loot whore in my spare time so i have the dot weapons and attachments secured. 2 mind fires and a mind psn all high str and pot. And ive got +25 speed, +25 acc, +25 acc while movin, and +25 counterattack.
I just need advice from you full time carbineers.
Template1:
Master Carbineer
Doc 4 3 4 0
CM 0 4 0 0 (mind heal line)
This would be a good template for support. I can buff myself and heal most psns in 1 shot. (we have cms on our server with 900dmg area ticks
. I could also mind heal, which is one of the best skills atm, with the current dot reliance in pvp.
Template2:
Master Carb
doc 4 3 4 0
rifleman 0 4 0 0 (ranged def line)
The point of this is to use aircake. I dont plan on solo pvping with this. So i wont have to deal with too manby melee characters. And with pikata pie, i will be very hard to hit. I can also buff, heal strong psns and i have master carb.
Plz anyone whos been around for a while lemme know which u think would be beneeficial, I'm sure i can make either work. But im also interested in which would be more fun to play.

im going to try this template out and see how it works
master carbineer
doc 4/0/3/0 (with good cure poison you can usually get them in 1 shot)
cm 4/0/0/4 (since carbineer cant really do much in the way of health and action dmg against armor might as well dizzy kd and toss poison on em)
I ll see how that works

I'm master doctor, CM 3004 (just changed that to 0404) for the area heals and carbineer 4004 (to 4003) for my guild/group hunt events. I'll probably go back to master carbineer if I end up using the CM stuff less.
Not the best combat combo but great for group support, at least I think so.

Oh and speaking of your 0400 ranged defense idea, I don't think defense stacking works anymore as of last week's patch. We did some testing between different professions and they differ no matter the amount of defense, I may be wrong but I would like to see others confirm this.

I dont know if the mind heal would be worth it. Its pretty hard to actually use in combat, unless you specifically tell someone to "stay still". It definately is very helpfull though
I might put my sp into more doc, or the cm use line, for ranged heals and potent poisons. Also all the wounds from healing mind can get a little annoying

Whoeever said the thing about defense stacking, it still does sumwhat work.... The defense cap is 125. Most people have more acc than that so itn seems that u get hit alot, and therefore the defense does not work. However, pikada pie is bugged. It enhances not only dodge, but all major defnsive rolls. (i.e. melee/ranged defense, block, counterattack, and dodge). So with the additional ranged def and sum pie, i would be potentially very hard to hit. 160+ ranged def for 20 mins or so.
However i think my template will end up either being the mind heal line, seeing as it is more useful in large scale pvp. However, the use line also lets me throw venom psns and have terrain neg. So i think im gonna play around with cm for a while and see what I like.

Good idea. Med xp is pretty easy to come by, especially if you can buff

lol.... buff people. Go to any player faction base and throw psns. U hit 15-20 things for like 350iosh xp each. Thats like 7k exp per psn throw. U can cap exp in like a minute or less.

Then there's always my uber PvP template - Master Carbineer/Master Bio-engineer!
It's great for applying states and for ummmm.............................sampling.
