Scenario:
Attacking a lair, send in the pet to draw aggro from the mobs, then fire away with AoE shots to hit multiple creatures.
Do the mobs have to aggro on YOU (the shooter) in order to hit multiple mobs? I have read in a few posts that AoE will only affect multiple creatures if they are aggroed on you, not a pet. (I may have misunderstood what I was reading though).

if the mob is attacking ANYTHING then AOE attacks will effect it. i have tested this and use it to my advantage by getting my mokk's to attack the jantas and then dropping back and hitting all of them with FAA2.

Very typically when you fire a cone special, the first shot will only damage that actual target. You will often see hits on others in the cone but they will not take damage.Every shot after that will hit and damage all others in the cone.
This is a wierd game wide bug that affects every cone special.

So does it cause aggro on that first hit? I just started carbineer and was running around the Dark Trooper base when I learned the dangers of cone attacks. Flame Cone did not have the range and that is the only cone I had ever used before carbineer. I suppose I can test myself, but I am at work so I thought I would just ask.

I'm starting to like the Cone attackts... but right now, I'm just too slow to make a difference... I've found some speed SEAs but I can't afford them. And by some, I mean one. Chargeshot2 and faa2 ought to make for interesting fights
